Limited Edition Show Run

Artist Statement by Danielle Gruberger

My initial intention for this show was to stimulate & seduce fellow Neurodivergent minds. From movement, to textures,
to oddities, there are easter eggs hidden throughout the imagery tailored to appease a vast array of Neurodiverse
idiosyncrasies. Please use this space to stim proudly & enjoy it!
Shortly after curation began, another layer was added to the concept when I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Colon
Cancer.
As a critical healing practice, I immediately began collaging meaningful imagery I photographed throughout some of
life’s strongest ebbs & flows. Each collage palpably expresses my experience navigating the stages of grief & offers a
fleeting glimpse into how I initially processed this very real challenge to my mortality.
This body of work stands as my most raw, vulnerable, & therapeutic artistic endeavor to date. My endless gratitude goes
to Tom of Finland Store & CultureEdit for providing the opportunity to heal through creativity & the safe space to share
this intimate moment of self-exploration with you.
xx Danielle Gruberger
P.S. This is your reminder to get a colonoscopy!
